Company Interior Design – Boutique Law Firm

Turnkey Interiors was appointed by LHL Attorneys to fit out their new offices in Johannesburg. Known for their in-depth expertise, personalised service, and dedication to excellence, the firm sought a workspace that mirrored these core values. Turnkey Interiors was entrusted with translating this vision into a contemporary and functional corporate office that would enhance both staff productivity and client experience.

Reception Area
The journey into the new office begins with a striking reception area, designed to make a lasting first impression. A herringbone-pattern wood floor serves as the foundation, introducing warmth and texture to the space. Above, a clean white wall is adorned with potted plants, providing a refreshing touch of greenery. The receptionist desk, positioned behind a glossy counter with a subtle marble-like pattern, acts as the focal point, blending both style and functionality. The exposed black-painted air ducts on the ceiling contribute to the space’s industrial aesthetic, with singular, uncovered lightbulbs suspended from above, adding a raw, bold touch to the overall design.

Meeting Room
Leading from the reception, the meeting room is enclosed by glass walls, promoting an open, transparent atmosphere. The continuation of the herringbone floor pattern helps create a seamless transition between spaces, maintaining the overall flow. The exposed brickwork on the walls adds both texture and warmth, contrasting beautifully with the large windows that feature matte-black-coated sills and frames. These windows allow for natural light to flood the space, enhancing the room’s welcoming and professional environment. A pillar, located in the corner, is creatively decorated with patterns on a white surface, which draws the eye and introduces a striking design element. At the centre of the room, a long rectangular table with a glossy wood finish and brass-coated frame stands as a bold statement piece. Surrounding the table, leather-covered office chairs enhance both comfort and style, ensuring that the space feels as sophisticated as it is functional.

Kitchen Area
Adjacent to the meeting room, the kitchen area offers a small yet stylish retreat for staff. Enclosed by wooden fencing resembling a pergola, the kitchen is both inviting and visually interesting. The upper cabinets are made of wood, further complementing the natural elements within the office. The countertop, lower cabinets, and floor are finished in crisp white, creating a fresh, clean look. A long counter fixed to the wooden structure offers a space where employees can enjoy their lunch breaks, enhancing both functionality and comfort. Lighting in this area is provided by linear pendant lights, which are fixed between the wooden slats, adding an extra layer of modernity while maintaining the inviting atmosphere.

Office Space
Moving further from the kitchen, the staff work area is designed with both functionality and aesthetics in mind. An elongated rectangular island, featuring a wooden top and black-painted shelves, serves as a lowered shelf for documents and provides additional workspace. Adjacent to this, an elongated counter fixed to the wall functions as the main desk area for employees. The desk is finished in a light gray tone, creating a soft contrast against the wall, which features the same patterns found in the meeting room’s pillar. This subtle continuity of design helps tie the space together. The wall’s patterns are interrupted by a bold black section that runs horizontally, adding interest and defining the area. The exposed ceiling, with its singular wooden-framed lights, mirrors the industrial aesthetic established throughout the office, contributing to the overall cohesive design.

Additional Work Area
Across from the staff work area, additional desks line a wall of exposed brick, adding texture and personality to the space. Large windows provide ample natural light, brightening the environment and supporting a positive work atmosphere. Another pillar, decorated in the same patterns as the meeting room’s pillar, enhances visual continuity between the various sections of the office. The white, glossy-finish desks run along the wall, separated by a glass partition to maintain an open yet structured workspace. Shelves, finished in the same glossy white as the desks, are mounted on the wall, offering both practical storage and a harmonious design. Exposed light bulbs and a linear pendant light complement the overall lighting scheme, completing the modern, industrial aesthetic that defines the office.

Conclusion
The design of the new offices showcases the power of company interior design in enhancing both functionality and brand identity. From the reception to the staff workspaces, every area has been thoughtfully designed to reflect the firm’s commitment to excellence and professionalism. Turnkey Interiors successfully created a modern, industrial-inspired space that fosters collaboration, productivity, and a welcoming environment for clients.
